THE EPISTOLARY HERITAGE OF THEODOR ZÖCKLER AS A SOURCE FOR THE STUDY OF EDUCATIONAL, TUTELARY AND PASTORAL ACTIVITIES IN GALICIA

The article examines the epistolary heritage of Theodor Zöckler as an important historical and pedagogical source for the study of his educational, tutelary, and pastoral activities in Galicia. Attention is drawn to the content of the letters, their source value for studying the socio-cultural context of the era, as well as to the pedagogical concepts that Zöckler formulated in his correspondence with colleagues, clergy, educators, and relatives. Particular attention is paid to the methods of organizing schooling, the problems of orphanhood, and education in the spirit of Christian ethics, which are revealed through his personal correspondence.
