Abstract

In the article has been made a narrative and theological analysis of the text of Gen. 2:4b–3:24, taking into account of the etiological background of the concept of sin and its consequences as one of the leading theological motifs of this narrative. The analysis of the plot is based on the basis of the application of the quinary scheme within the progressive development of the narrative and its articulation. The narrator invites the reader to enter the world of the narrative through the act \ pact of reading and, from the point of view of the art of biblical narrative, offers him to learn important theological categories, among which is the etiology of sin and its consequences. The theoretical results of the article can be used for the further development of this topic as an organic part of the hamartiology of the Old Testament and biblical theology in general, taking into account the hermeneutical component of the study.
